Updates

I did the grocery shopping today. I bought Logan some soy yogurt, and some Tofutti. With a name like Tofutti, it has to be good, right? I got him the chocolate ice cream sandwiches because Seth has been wanting ice cream sandwiches for almost a year now. The soy is working so far for Logan, I think. We are simply thrilled! I am going to wait to start cooking tofu based dinners until we return from Colorado and are in our new kitchen (*hopefully*).

Ahem, well... if we have a new kitchen to come home to. Let's recap our whole housing situation. We close on the sale of our home this Friday, May 9th. Nice! The movers are coming the 14th and 15th because we have to be out of our home by May 16th. Okay. We don't have a place to live yet and are leaving on vacation on the 20th. Slight problem. See, we were going to buy a new home in the new city. Then we waffled and decided to find a place to rent. Well, after looking at about a half million different rental homes we returned to the first neighborhood we ever looked at. We also happened to learn that it is located extremely close to a stellar recreational opportunity that was just hiding from us before. And we have now decided that we want to try and buy a home in that neighborhood. We even spent part of the afternoon yesterday checking it out and playing at their park.

So, we might be quasi-homeless from May 16th until sometime after that. But we are at least going on vacation for 5-6 days so that will help with our housing situation even if it makes our life a little bit more insane. In fact maybe we will just stay on vacation until we have a new home. Well, except for Jim because he should probably be working at the new job that will be paying for our new home. Yep.
