Safety and Preparedness Day

Seth's cub scout pack went on a family outing to the local fire station for a Safety and Preparedness Event.

Everyone got a ride on a fire truck from the parking lot to the fire station.



After watching the rescue helicopter land, the boys got to check it out. Later they watched it take back off.




The boys experienced the "fire house". A lesson in fire safety was taught in a mock home, using water vapor as the smoke.



They had lots of booths, information, and free snacks. Plus, we bought a yummy lunch to eat.

They even had fire fighting goats. Yes, you read that correctly. They use goats to help clear out brush.
