(these aren't really in true order, everything about our trip was all so good!)
10. Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends- no work, no school, just perfect. Especially when you get to visit family and see some old friends too!
9. Cold Weather and Fireplaces- How cozy! Especially when the power is out for multiple hours. Thankfully that happened Friday and not Thursday.
8. Trains- Can't escape without mentioning the presence of a wooden train set for Logan, and the train ride at the aquarium (see number 7). That is all Logan wanted to do.
7. Downtown Aquarium- We loved seeing all the water creatures: sharks, fish, snapping turtles... as well as the python and the white tigers. We even got to see the white tigers get fed. Much to my disappointment they ground the cow up (including bones and other parts) instead of just throwing the tigers whole cows to devour. We also rode the train, ferris wheel, carousel, and zero-gravity dropping ride multiple times.
6. Oehring Family Hospitality- Fun and kind providers of shelter, yummy food, comfy beds, board games, televisions, video games, and the aforementioned train set.
5. Melissa, Jared, and cousin Lindsey- Okay, I admit that really we only cared about seeing Lindsey with her adorable backwards scoot. But it was super nice of Melissa and Jared to let us come visit anyway and cook us dinner! I am so glad that they moved to Houston so we can see them more often!
4. Football- There was a Turkey Bowl on Thursday morning. Jim played and Seth played in the kids' game. Plus all the football games available on the TV, except the UT vs A&M game in which UT took a sound beating.
3. Swimming dares- Seth was brave enough to join two of Jared's brothers in a bet to swim the pool down and back. Seth only had to swim the width because he is much younger. If you don't understand the thrill and entertainment that this brought, please refer back to #9.
2. Food- So much yummy food! I had a blast cooking some dishes with Melissa, even though we kept forgetting about the food. Sorry again for burning the almonds. Everything at Thanksgiving was super yummy. We started with a pumpkin soup and Jason's salad, before digging into turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans (with non-burned almonds), cranberry dressing, and stuffing.
1. PIE- We had pumpkin pie, apple pie, and pecan pie. Warm and yummy.
That is our trip!!!! Thanks Melissa, Jared, Lindsey, and the Oehring family for such a wonderful time!!! Pictures coming soon!!!

In response to #3: soon i will put up the pics and video (allbeit dark video) of the boys polar-bear swimming! I was very impressed with Seth choosing to do it (even if under peer pressure!)
Sounds like a great time was had by all! But why was Seth the only brave Ritter? Why weren't his parents in the pool?

This summarized your trip pretty well. I'd been waiting to talk to you about it and hadn't checked the blog. Thanks for all the details. Also I just watched the videos and they were super!! Logan looks so precious and tough-tender with his batting skills. Thanks for posting!!!
Love to all!
