Time for an Update!!

To start off with, Logan had a very successful birthday party! He is really enjoying some new clothes and toys (thanks to many people out there). We have yet to try out the sandbox. He is so close to walking, but it may take a while longer. He did take 2-3 steps while pushing his popper toy, but we are going to count his first steps as the first time he takes a step without holding onto anything (even though the popper doesn't support weight at all!). His stomach has its ups and downs. He has had a bad case of the big "D" (and, yes Jared we do know it hits everyone sometime!) so we are waiting to see if that resolves or sticks around as it has already been a couple weeks. What that does will determine which tests we attempt next. We are trying slowing to expand his palette so see if foods complicate his motility issues. This is tricky as he also has sensitivities and/or possible allergies to some foods. Yesterday we challenged peanut butter and so far, so good. He loves it (like mother, like son?) and it seems to sit well with him so far. He is also ready for his first haircut, which I need to do this week.
Seth has been keeping busy as well. His class enjoyed field trips to the Fire Station and to HEB. He saved up some money and bought a new little transformer. Much to Jim's enjoyment, Seth is a big transformer fan; although, during playtime the action figures, rescue heroes, and transformers all play together! He has been to the pool a couple of times and can't wait until we make swimming a regular activity! He is finally getting into the spirit of soccer and hustling after the ball! Jim is doing a superb job coaching his team. Jim has them all going for the ball more aggressively, kicking harder, and even playing a little defense/offense. Last week Seth scored his first goal and his team won!! Hopefully we don't get rained out for this Saturday.
Jim and I are busy finishing up the semester. I did get my meteo class done, got an A, and am maintaining my 4.0 (and that is with 45 credits down!). Jim should finish up his two classes this week! We are glad that summer will be a little slower. I am going to finish up my Art class and complete one more basic class. This month will be busy though as school finishes for us and Seth, and we have lots of functions and things going on. I am especially excited that my grandmother will be coming to visit in just a week or so!!! We are also looking forward to seeing Ryan's family as they will be traversing most of the distance between Washington and Texas. Seth also can't wait until cousins camp and the much anticipated Murdock family reunion. We are hoping when we make it up to Utah for the reunion and Melissa's graduation, that we will be able to see a lot of Jim's family as well.
The yard is coming along slowly but surely. I am finding that these projects are helping to develop my patience. Except I think that between Logan and the yard I have more than enough patience already!!!! (but obviously not) I am hoping to post an official yard update with pictures of all the trees soon. We still have much work to do on the yard as summer arrives.
This evening we are heading over to the home of one of Seth's friends. They invited us over for a fiesta to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. So, more later...
